Ok... there is a story behind this it's very crack pot but there is still a story.

Why Franziska jumping
While I was working at Walmart the strage thought occured to me. ..
"I bet Franziska is good at jump rope"
Then the thought of her using her whip as a jump rope popped in my head.
"Maybe when she was young she really liked to jump rope and one day she got really angry at someone (most likely Miles) she whipped the rope at them and realized how effective this was to let her anger out and scare the other person."

Why Miles jumping
Franziska always is trying to be better than Miles so when she found out she was good at jumping rope she was glad she found something she could do better than Miles.
Miles has a similar problem with having to be better at everything (and this expands on how Larry and Phoenix teased him about not being able to make paper cranes well when they were in elementary school but now makes them perfectly) so this included jumping rope.
Naturally, because of this theory, both Miles and Franziska are EXTREMELY good at jumping rope.

Why Pearl jumping
She's a kid and jumping rope seemed like something she would want to do.
I figured she was the one who started the idea of jumping rope.

That's Iris for those who have played the third game. One of Pearl's older sisters (the not evil one). I figured she would want to play with her little sister. Siblings vs siblings!!! Plus I also think she owes it to Franzy (helped break her out) and Miles (who defended her the first day of trial. ~DragonessBahamut also said Pearl needs someone to jump with.

Why would Maya and Godot be flipping the ropes (even though they are not in the picture yet) MORE SPOILERS... kind of
Feys vs Prosecutors. It seemed like a fun theme to me.
